3) Lionel Messi - 15

Passing Leaders

2) Sergio Busquets - 393
3) Xabi Alonso - 387

At the beginning of the tournament I said my top 3 were:
1) Spain
2) Brazil
3) Germany

Two of my top three remain; one will get to the final, at which time the team will beat Holland. Don't ask me to predict Spain vs. Germany. Spain are the better team at peak performance, but Germany have been playing much better than the Spaniards.

Which player do I think has been the most valuable player for their team so far? David Villa, of course. He would be followed by Wesley Sneijder, Diego Forlan and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Which young player has most caught my eye? Mesut Ozil by far. He's fantastic.
